Another Now - Yanis Varoufakis

One more book by Yanis. This time a novel. I must say I prefer his non-fiction writing to this novel. Fiction does however give him free reign on imagining how a world could work differently. He constructed this book it in such a way that he is able to both show how the current economic and political landscape evolves over the next 10 years as well as how it would have done so if there would have been a revolution after the last economic crisis.

It is basically a parallel universe story. It does read a bit as a gimmick to allow the freedom of thinking on different economical and political structures rather than a real attempt to write a novel. If you read it as such rather than expecting a great work of fiction then I would still recommend this work. Especially if you then follow up on what is happening with Diem25 an the policies they are proposing. You will recognise a lot there.
